NEW CD!

"We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things.  If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things."

Coming soon!  Can't wait.  :)

Slack Family Benefit Concert

One of the main reasons I love sharing music with others is to offer hope.  It is my sincere hope that we can help the sweet Slack Family through our November 12th Benefit Concert.  Please consider bringing your families and enjoy an evening of music together.  Call 435.862.6831 for tickets.

L.O.V.E.

Recently I had the chance to perform for a women's conference in Page, AZ.  The theme of the day for the sisters was "L.O.V.E. - Living Our Values Everyday."  Wonderful preparations had been made by sweet Alice Gifford.  What a blessing to be able to enjoy the ride with my great dad and dear friend.  My dad is always so supportive in traveling with me, and Melanie has been so gracious to join me on numerous occasions and share her wonderful talent on the piano.  Kind friends Amy and Leah also travelled down for the conference.  It was a sweet experience filled with lots of LOVE!  :)

Women's Fireside

What a blessing for me to be able to share a women's fireside last night with the sweet Relief Society Sisters and Young Women of the LaVerkin, Utah Stake.  Thank you, Carolyn, for the invitation.  There were truly such sweet, amazing, talented women that I was able to meet and converse with afterward.  Even special friends were there.  It made me so happy!  Each chance for me to share my testimony and songs is a special reminder of the joy in my life and the blessings I know because of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Here is a lovely group of ladies - my dear friend, Josie, her sisters-in-law, Carolyn and Crystal, and their sweet mother, JoAnn.

And one with Jos, always so supportive!  Thank you!

A Hero I Know

I recently performed for a Girls Camp in Heber Valley and my talented friend, Melanie, was so kind to join me for this fireside.
The sweet leaders of this stake chose "A Hero I Know" from my Stay True CD as their theme song. When their YW sang this to
open the evening, it invited an incredibly special spirit, and I felt so humbled to be there. I was so blessed to have these amazing
and very supportive ladies with me: (from the left) my sister's dear friend, Diesta, my wonderful sister, Marci, me,
sweet Melanie, and her wonderful sister, Cynthia.

It was a very special evening, and you can see our closing performance of "A Hero I Know"
here.

Masterpiece

Just wanted to give a little shout out to one of the most inspired and influential LDS musicians ever - Julie de Azevedo!
She was signing copies of her new CD, MASTERPIECE - The Best of Julie de Azevedo, at Deseret Book and was kind enough to be in a photo with me.  Julie's music has been a profound blessing in my life since I was young.  I have thoroughly enjoyed revisiting some of her greatest songs in this new collection.  Don't miss it!

Play Ball!!!

I was lucky to get to sing the National Anthem to open a recent baseball game. It was a unique opportunity - something a bit different than I usually do, so I wanted to make note of it here. My little Luke was so excited to wave to me from the stands. Afterward he asked, "Mom - you are Lyndsi Houskeeper?" I guess when they announced me he was just expecting them to say, "Luke's mom," which I would probably prefer. :) That little boy always makes me smile.

Celebrate Children!

I just came across this great collage of the 2009 National PTA Convention that I was blessed to be a part of this year. For the past few years, I've been writing the song for the PTA Theme and this year it's "Celebrate Children". I loved it! I love my children so much and I love the idea of celebrating them every day! It was a very special experience to share this song with a wonderful group of individuals. My good friend, Ryan Tilby, also performed with his group Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband. It was a great convention and a super way to kick off the year for our wonderful children! (I'll add the song to my playlist too, so listen if you'd like!)

Friends and Neighbors

Just last week, I had the chance to present a fireside for my ward and a few neighboring wards. It was extra special to share my music with close friends and neighbors. My dear, sweet friend, Josie, serves in the YW Presidency in my ward and she was the mind behind our fireside. She has always been so positive and supportive of me and my music and I appreciate her so much. I love my friends and neighbors and ward members, and it was a great treat to be able to share a fireside with them. Here is a picture afterward of me and Josie. I just love her!

Because I always want to remember...

What a special and spirit-filled evening I was blessed to be a part of earlier this week on Tuesday, the 17th. I was asked to present a fireside at a New Beginnings for a local ward. I was especially excited and a little more nervous than usual because the sweet YW President who invited me is a dear friend and very special to our family. I admire her greatly, and wanted to be sure her Young Women were blessed with an uplifting and memorable evening. Before my portion of the program, I was blessed to hear this sweet sister speak and bear testimony of important truths. My heart was touched as the Spirit was invited to the meeting. As I presented my songs and testimony I was overcome with gratitude for the joy that I know and am able to express to others in settings like this. My very best friend, Melanie, came to offer her genuine support and love. It is so special to have her voice singing harmony on two of the songs from the "Be A Believer" CD. For a moment, I was able to speak of her amazing example and felt so humbled to have the tender blessing of her friendship. I spoke of my family, my precious children who show me the way every day. I was just overcome with the greatest feeling of love and peace. I know my Savior offers such strength to me, and I am so thankful to know and bear testimony of His love and compassion. Afterward, I was able to converse with many sweet and appreciative individuals. It is so special to just be a small part of a spiritual experience for others. It is amazing to me that the music in my heart can touch the hearts of others too. As dear friends offered thanks through kind words and embraces, I felt so blessed...so very blessed.
